💡 DID YOU KNOW…? 💡

AFSCME Local 260 is part of a much larger union family.

(American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) represents more than 1.4 million working people across the United States. Local 260 operates under the AFSCME umbrella, giving our members a stronger voice through collective bargaining, workplace representation, training opportunities, legal resources, and advocacy at the local, state, and national levels.

While Local 260 focuses on representing UF Health employees right here in our workplace, AFSCME provides the support, resources, and network that help us fight for better wages, benefits, working conditions, and respect on the job.

Together, we’re stronger. 💚🐊

It’s Public Service Recognition Week – a time that we reflect on the essential work that AFSCME members do. Whether responding to emergencies, taking our kids to school, keeping our streets and drinking water clean or caring for the sick, public service workers are the backbone of our communities. They deserve respect and dignity for all they do. This week, we extend our deepest gratitude to all those who dedicate their lives and careers to helping others, and we commit to always continuing to fight for the strong public services our communities deserve.

The Union Difference couldn't be more clear. That is why employers, corporations, and anti-worker organizations fight so hard to take away workers' voices and shrink union density in our workplaces. WE WON'T LET THEM WIN!
