"I have had the privilege of serving alongside Oliver Gilbert for many years.

As Mayor, he helped turn vision into action. He championed community policing by creating pathways for young men and women from our own neighborhoods to serve in the police department. He supported changes that encouraged business growth and investment. He helped reimagine our parks so that children had access not only to sports, but also to technology, education, and opportunities that prepared them for the future.

As County Commissioner, Oliver has never forgotten where he came from. He has continued to fight for Miami Gardens, helping secure more than $20 million toward the development of the Performing Arts Center and working with the city to support programs and initiatives that strengthen our entire community.

I HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS! WATER SURCHARGE IN MIAMI GARDENS WILL BE ELIMINATED. 💧🚫

The Governor has signed HB 1451, a bill that I had the honor of working on with to include language that would eliminate the water and sewer surcharge in Miami Gardens and other cities in the state of Florida experiencing unfair rates.

This has been a long time coming and I am so happy to keep this promise to the residents of District 104.
