Saturday, October 25, 2026, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

St. Thomas University's Sardiñas Gallery is opening the exhibition "Ephemeral Flora" by Tony Fernandez.

His collection of photographs captures plants as though they are characters in an unfolding story: mangroves reaching into brackish waters, wildflowers bending in the wind, and ficus trees gripping coral rock walls. These plants appear less like mere specimens and more like survivors—immigrants and natives negotiating their space. Each root and tendril traces a history of displacement, resilience, and belonging.

Meet the photographer in person at the opening & reception on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"Double Homage" by Frank Izquierdo on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Curated by Miguel Rodez.

'This exhibition offers a "double homage," celebrating the life and work of Frank Izquierdo (1981–2021) through his own admiration for the 18th-century Austrian sculptor Franz Xaver Messerschmidt.

Izquierdo, who passed away due to COVID-19 complications, was a versatile artist who purposefully blurred the lines between fine art and illustration.' - Miguel Rodez
