The Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary was chartered by the US Congress on December 1, 1941. In 2012 we have over 60,000 members serving our nation, focusing on our three fundamental missions: Emergency Services, Aerospace Education and the Cadet Program. The Miami Beach Cadet Squadron is comprised of Cadets, between the ages of 12 and 18, under the supervision of Senior Officers
and Members. We have an outstanding and diverse group of cadets who train in the curricula of the program: Leadership, Aerospace Education, Emergency Services, and Leadership, so as to better serve their community and country. Our command officers and senior members include military veterans, educators, professionals, and community leaders. Membership is open to young men and women interested in learning about aerospace, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, discipline and honor, while enjoying the pride and prestige of being a Cadet of the US Air Force Auxiliary. Volunteer positions are also available for responsible adults who wish to share their experience, expertise and supervision within the scope of our Cadet program. CAP offers a unique opportunity for youth and volunteer adults to provide invaluable public service and development of dedicated young people who are in the process of becoming America's future leaders.
