Surveys were in, the Soldiers spoke, and we listened.

We had a raffle to pie members of our Platoon Leadership and Command Team. 3 names were drawn, 3 names were called out, and three faces received a nice cold pie in the face.

There’s nothing quite like an early-morning ruck on a crisp winter day to set the tone. While most people shy away from the cold, this group of Spartans embraces it. These Soldiers aren’t like the rest—when the conditions get tougher, we get stronger.

We thrive in the kind of weather that makes others turn back. It’s in these moments—breath in the cold air, boots crunching on frozen ground—that our discipline, grit, and unity show through. This is where Spartans are forged, and where our standard is set.

This weekend, we proudly hosted our annual Dining Out—a tradition that brings our Soldiers and their loved ones together for an evening of camaraderie and celebration.

The event not only strengthened our bond as a formation, but also gave our younger generation the unique opportunity to meet and learn from CSM (Ret.) Van Malter, who spoke on the meaning and responsibility of being part of the Spartan lineage.

His words served as a reminder of the legacy we carry forward and the standard we strive to uphold.

We would like to give thanks to those who a had and in our celebration.

Honoring Guest and Speaker:

Van Malter and Jess Malter

Coordination and Planning:

Jessie Hubbs and Kaylee Hubbs

Ryan Post and Lanissa Post

Thank you to The Barn Company, Apple Creek Farm, and Mexico Highschool for helping make our Dining Out special!
