My heart is full. I represented the commission and for ’s capstone presentation. We asked for additional funding for the local grants to reach every chapter in our county and additional funds for the program. Fingers crossed! But, it went well and it was for the county!

Today, we honor those who served, those who passed away, and those who are protecting our freedoms today.
My great-great grandparents immigrated here from Bohemia and Ireland between the two families. While I love learning our family history, I do not take our freedom and our country for granted. Plain and simple- I love this country and everything it stands for.

You will see new truck route signs along near Route J, Route B and the Bassinger Corner roundabout.

I want to give a huge round of applause and a big to Area Engineer Emily Edgar. I can not tell you the hours she drove up and down Route J, Route B and the sections of Highway 54 that go around those routes. Emily clocked discrepancies on the GPS apps, reported all of those and studied more solutions than I thought were possible. Y’all- she could have driven to a sunny beach for the miles she put in on this project!

Simply put- Emily, you are a rock star and we appreciate you!!!

Today we filled the downstairs of the courthouse with employees from the region who were there to learn about the program and the solutions it brings to the workforce.

These trainings were not meant to “sign on” additional businesses, but were designed to give each employer a chance to implement different types of communication and strategies that are proven to help with stability.
