Baby Pool Update 🚨
After noticing the baby pool was not holding water, we inspected the liner and found multiple large holes that are preventing it from holding water properly.
At this time, the baby pool will remain closed while we determine next steps. We know this is disappointing and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the issue.

HELP WANTED – MAINTENANCE / HANDY PERSON 🔧
The Metamora Park District is currently looking for a skilled and dependable handy person to assist with maintenance projects at our facilities. Right now, we have a repair project at the pool involving a large umbrella structure that needs mechanical and metal work repairs.
Experience with welding, mechanical repair, metal work, or general maintenance is a plus.

Two local students from Metamora Township High School are turning leadership into action—and the community is invited to be part of it.

As part of their journey to earning the prestigious Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout rank, David and Jacob are leading hands-on service projects designed to make a real impact right here in our community.

⏰ 2:00 – 4:00 PM

📍 Metamora Christian Union Church

Attendees won’t just observe—they’ll participate.

During the event, community members will:

Learn practical emergency preparedness skills, including how to build a home first aid kit, home fire safety and a go-bag for unexpected situations
Help assemble hygiene kits for individuals in need, which will be donated to Sophia’s Kitchen to support local outreach efforts
This is a unique opportunity for students, families, and community members to:

✔ Earn service hours

✔ Support meaningful, local impact

✔ Gain real-life skills

Mother Nature just pulled a fast one on us at Black Partridge Park - we've got a pipe busted in the bathrooms, so our bathroom plans for tomorrow are scrapped. Just a heads up, the park's bathrooms will be out of commission for a few days.
