Today, I celebrate another year of life — a year marked by resilience, grit, lessons, and grace. Birthdays have a way of making us pause, look back at the roads we’ve walked, and acknowledge both the scars and the strength we carry.
I’ve lived a life of service — decades in uniform, leading, protecting, sacrificing, and standing in the gap for others. I’ve seen the best and the worst of humanity. I’ve stood in places where hope felt fragile, yet I held on because leadership demands belief even when the world feels chaotic.
But behind the medals, the missions, the discipline, and the command voice…
There is still a woman.
A woman with a heart that has endured storms.
A woman who continues to evolve.
A woman who still believes in love, loyalty, and something deeper than just companionship.
This year reminded me that purpose doesn’t end with retirement, and strength doesn’t mean silence. I am still learning, still healing, still choosing to rise every morning with faith that life has more to offer — including the kind of love that is steady, honest, and safe.
Yes… even generals wish for a place where they can rest their armor.
A hand they can hold without fear.
A heart that doesn’t see rank, but sees the human being behind it.
Love that is loyal. Love that is calm. Love that is real.
As I step into this new chapter, I pray for peace, deeper connections, and the courage to open my heart again. I’m wishing myself clarity to walk away from what doesn’t serve me, and the wisdom to recognize something genuine when it finally arrives.
To everyone who has stood by me — friends, brothers- and sisters-in-arms, and those who support me from afar — thank you. Your presence in my life is a blessing I do not take lightly.
Here’s to a new year of growth.
A new year of purpose.
A new year of unexpected miracles.
And maybe… just maybe… a new year of finding the love my heart has waited patiently for.
