This , we celebrate the dads who serve both at home and in uniform.

At Mesa Police Department, some families share more than a last name, they share a calling. From fathers, sons, and daughters serving side by side to generations committed to protecting our community, these bonds reflect the values of service, dedication, and family.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers who lead by example, both on and off the badge.

More than 30 students participated in our Youth Leadership Academy last week.

Throughout the week, participants heard from professionals from a variety of fields and took part in activities designed to build leadership skills and expose them to new experiences. Students learned CPR and how to change a tire, they rappelled down a tower, and spent time volunteering at Good Shepherd Horse Rescue. We tried to get a group photo but got photobombed by a horse.

Thank you to FiberFirst for sponsoring this year's academy and to all our SRO's, staff, and community partners who helped make the week a huge success!

🚲 Starting June 25, the Mesa Police Department's Summer 2026 E-Bike Enforcement Initiative, Operation Ride Compliance, will be underway across all five patrol divisions.

As the enforcement phase of Mesa’s broader E-Bike Safety Program, Operation Ride Compliance builds on the education and outreach efforts conducted through Operation Ride Smart over the past several months.

Officers will conduct high-visibility enforcement in areas identified through citizen complaints, intelligence, officer observations, and prior enforcement activity. The goal is to increase compliance with Arizona law and Mesa City Code while promoting safer roadways and shared-use paths for everyone.

Defensive driving starts before the light changes. Mesa PD reminds drivers to ease off the gas, slow down at intersections, and hover the brake when anticipating stops. Staying ready and aware behind the wheel can help prevent serious collisions and keep everyone on the road safer.
