ABWC Board of Directors would like to thank Steve with High Ground Defense, Noel Carter, General Manager of Buckeye Water Conservation & Drainage District, and Donovan Neese, Superintendent of Roosevelt Irrigation District for hosting their June Monthly Meeting. ABWC would like to thank Dr. Ed Martin, UArizona Associate Vice President & Director of the Arizona Cooperative Extension Service. Dr. Martin is a founding member of the Arizona Master Irrigators Program and a leading voice in irrigation education. We appreciate the partnership between ABWC and the University of Arizona. The 2026 Arizona Agribusiness Roundtable featured USDA Under Secretary, Dudley Hoskins as the keynote speaker. Dudley spoke about his role at the USDA, the importance of Agribusiness to the US Economy, and provided examples of how USDA is working on behalf of the American farmers and ranchers.

We would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Silvertooth for all his efforts in helping make the first Cohort of the Master Irrigators Program a success. Cohort I kicked off with Dr. Silvertooth sharing his extensive knowledge about Agronomic Management and Soil-Plant-Water Relations. Preparing these irrigators with an understanding about the role soil health plays in the management of water deliveries to the farm.

The Arizona Association of Women in Water & Ag brought together hydropower experts for their 2026 Colorado River Update. This group of leading women are making a difference in the water and power industry. We thank them for their presentations, explaining the important relationship between water and power in Arizona.
