Awesome NSBW public education opportunity!

"National Safe Boating Week" X "Thunder on Cocoa Beach Offshore Racing Street Party" in downtown Cocoa Beach.

The Cocoa Beach Beach Police Department asked us to team up with members of their marine patrol unit in order to speak with the public and distribute boating safety literature.

National Safe Boating Week starts tomorrow and we're doing free vessel safety checks!

Come see us Saturday, May 16 at the Kelly Park East boat ramp in Merritt Island. We'll be there from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Passing vessels get a 2026 decal. There are no consequences for failure to pass. Needed items include registration, PFDs, visual distress signals, sound-producing devices, fire extinguishers, and working navigation lights.

Hey there Brevard County boating friends! We'll be doing FREE vessel exams this Saturday, February 21 at Kelly Park in Merritt Island. Come see us in the boat ramp area from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and get your 2026 Vessel Safety decal. You'll need your vessel registration, PFDs, visual distress signals, sound-producing devices, fire extinguishers, and working navigation lights. There is no penalty for failure to pass the exam - we'll just tell you what you need for next time. See you there!
