There are five new bestsellers, two new movies, one new audiobook, four new children's books, and 22 other new books.

The new bestsellers this week include "Big Little Truths," "The Most Dangerous Games," and "Small-Batch Breads: 50 Recipes for Loaves, Buns, and Flatbreads Made with One Cup of Flour." The new movies this week are "The Mandalorian and Grogu" and "The Breadwinner."

We have a new monthly program for Grades 5 - 8!
Silent Reading Club
Bring a blanket or folding chair and book to read quietly in the children’s program room for the first 30 minutes. The last 15 minutes will be an optional book sharing time. We’ll provide snacks and have some book recommendations, if needed. The first meeting is Oct. 15th 3:45 - 4:30 pm. Registration opens on Sept. 14th at 10 am! This club meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 3:45 to 4:45 pm. Registering for this club enrolls you in each month's session. Visit our website or scan the QR for more information.

Did you know that the Merrimac Public Library has book clubs for children?! It's true! Registration begins soon for "Ready to Read" (grades 1 & 2) and "Rad Readers" (grades 3 & 4). Both groups meet once a month for 1 hour. We read a book together and do an activity or craft related to the book (there is no "homework"). Scan the QR codes below or click to register!

We've decided to continue weekly Mah Jongg! Join us at the library every Wednesday from 1-3pm, for our drop-in American Mah Jongg Open Play group. These groups will not include formal instruction, but they will provide a chance to practice your skills and get together with other local players! Players will need to bring their own mats, tiles, and cards. Open to ages 18+ and registration is not required. For more information contact Tracy at [email protected]
