An outcome truly reflective of the effort. Congratulations and thank you to the American Legion Riders Wisconsin.

We are proud to have played a small part in your journey. We look forward to working with you in the future.

The American Legion Riders of Wisconsin shared during our department convention that this year’s Cruise for a Cause has raised over $91,000 which means we will be presenting to the National Legacy Run at least $69,700 to the Veterans and Children Foundation on behalf of the Department of Wisconsin! WOW!

In a game heard right here on WJMT and wjmtfm.com, the Post 46 American Legion boys' baseball team saw its record fall to 2-11 with an 11-1 mercy-rule shortened loss to the Wausau Post 10 Bulldogs. The Bluejays saw AmericInn Player of the Game Brody Klebenow (pictured) drive in the Bluejays sole run with the second of his two triples in the contest. The Bulldogs score twice in the first and single runs in the third and fourth innings before scoring seven runs in the bottom of the fifth. Two Bluejay errors along with a walk and hit batter opened the floodgates and led to the end of the game with one out in the bottom of the fifth. Bluejay starter Quinton Kurtzhals took the loss and was relieved in the fifth by Andrew Josinger.

WJMT and wjmtfm.com coverage of American Legion activity resumes Monday with a double-header at Wausau's Sunnyvale Park in girls' regional action on July 20-21. Merrill takes on Shawano in the first game on July 21 and plays either Wausau or Crandon in the second game that night, with action continuing Tuesday afternoon unless the Bluejay girls lose both games on Monday. The girls are guaranteed to make the state tournament regardless of how they do in regional action as the host team in state action on 31 July-2 August at the MARC. You can hear all of the action next Monday on WJMT and wjmtfm.com with the Nicolet Bank pre-game show starting at 4:45 and first pitch at 5:00.

What an day! We got to celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, but we got to do it as an Edward A. Burns FAMILY. We had members, fellow veterans, family members, friends, and members of the community on our team yesterday.

We are truly blessed here at Post 46. Thank you to the City of Tomahawk and the Tomahawk Lions Club for organizing and hosting the 4th of July Parade. We will be back next year with a bigger and better float.

Our goal is simple...we want to bring veterans together, include their families and loved ones, and give them an opportunity to get out in the community to inspire the next generation and have some fun while doing it. Yesterday was an overwhelming success.

We'll post more photos and videos as we get them.

Our Focus Is is Veterans...Our Concern Is Community!

One Team...One Family!

God Bless America,
EAB 46
