I would like to let people know there was a mistake on my mailer that went out.

The mailer says "the only candidate with law enforcement experience." It was supposed to read " the only candidate on the ballot with law enforcement experience." Mr. Woodward is running as a write in. He does have law enforcement experience from several decades ago.

I apologize to Mr. Woodward for the mistake.

There is a negative campaign saying a lot of things about our office or me as the Sheriff.

The vast number of complaints are pertaining to events that occurred before I became Sheriff. Some of them years before.

One of the complaints involves a recent fatal traffic crash. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle crash that involved the death of a 16 year old Lincoln County resident. The Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash. An 18 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office was the primary investigating deputy. He filed his report based of the evidence at the scene. I stand by the results of our investigation. The family disagreed with the report and filed suit.

I will not discuss details of the crash or the results of our investigation on a public forum.

The allegations of a cover up are without merit. This is just a negative campaign trying to cloud the truth.

I had fun supporting a worthy cause the other day at the 2022 Merrill Lobster Fest!

All the money raised is staying local. The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin will be receiving the donations.

I'm appreciative of all the other volunteers who help make this event a reality every year. It really is great to see a community come together like this.
