Thank you for your interest in the “Go Fund Me” effort to help the TSA employees and Air Traffic Controllers in Meridian and Jackson. As you are aware, within hours of the launch of the page the President agreed to reopen the government. For those of you who contributed, THANK YOU! We are going to hold the funds for approximately three weeks until we see what happens then. If the government remains open, we will refund your contribution. If the paychecks stop again, then we will redouble our efforts to help these deserving individuals.

I created a Go Fund Me Page to buy Wal-Mart Gift cards for the TSA and Air Traffic Controllers who continue to work without receiving a paycheck. Can you please join Sela and me and donate to this page – and pass this on to your network (by e-mail and post on social media) so Monday morning we can walk into the airport with gift cards for all. Sela and I sent food care packages today from Sam’s Club, but with their paycheck envelopes being empty yet again today and one of New York’s airports closed because of not enough federal employees there to properly keep it open, IT IS CRITICAL THAT THE MEN AND WOMEN AT OUR AIRPORT KNOW HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE THEM!

Calling Mississippians of all party persuasions. Tomorrow each of us will have a megaphone in our hands where we will shout first and foremost what we want the world and the outside business community to think of our State. Whether you love or hate the President, whether you love or hate the Democrats, and whether you love or hate the Republicans, we all agree that we want jobs and industry and the world to feast at what Mississippi offers (the Delta, our coast, industry, our people, music, food, the Blues…). So tomorrow, vote for the candidate who represents our future, NOT OUR PAST. Vote for the candidate who will attract jobs and outside investment to Mississippi and not repel them. Vote for MIKE ESPY because many thousands of jobs will depend on what the world hears coming out of our megaphone. We dictate our future tomorrow - remember that when you fill in one bubble or the other.

Over the last few months, I have enjoyed working with my supporters and those who were not supporters in order to advocate for change in our state and support Democratic candidates who can usher in new ways of treating old problems. But now, I’m expanding my voice to include ALL Mississippians because the moment is upon us to make a loud statement not about Mississippi Democrats and not about Mississippi Republicans, but rather about all of us in the Magnolia state…

Simply put, THERE IS NO ROOM for anybody who could think about let alone mention lynchings in a positive context, LEAST OF ALL while asking for our trust to represent all of us in the senate. Hyde-Smith’s insensitivity and cluelessness is staggering and whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, you and we need to send a message to the nation that there is a New Mississippi. Anybody who perpetuates even a fraction of our less than noble history like these comments indicate is woefully out-of-touch with what the state needs NOW and should be sent home on Nov 27th! Republicans and Democrats, take Mike’s hand and together we will all build a better Mississippi. We will get us out of the basement on everything that matters. We will show the world what we know and what they will come to know. Blaming a hateful attitude on a joke won’t work. Mississippi voters of all political persuasions won’t be fooled. We are too smart for this and you, Cindy Hyde-Smith, apparently aren’t smart enough to keep your attitudes to yourself. Thank you for showing your true colors in time for all of us to fully understand what you will bring to our future. Vote for Mike Espy on Nov 27. Alabama showed the world that voters of both parties can unite to do the right thing. So let’s all do the right thing and elect our future, not our past.
