Today we commemorate Texas Independence Day, which marks the day when Texas declared its independence from Mexico on March 2, 1836. 💪

The fight for independence was fueled by many factors, including cultural differences, economic policies, and political tensions. The famous battle of the Alamo, which took place just two weeks earlier, became a symbol of Texas's determination and resistance against Mexico's rule. The Texian forces led by Sam Houston ultimately defeated the Mexican army and gained independence for Texas. 🏆

Today, we remember the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for the freedom of Texas and honor their legacy. 🤠
