Each year, Blue Cross of Idaho sponsors Steps for Schools for the legislature. Because I averaged 10,000 steps per day in February, Blue Cross sent a $1,000 check to the school of my choice. This year I was pleased to walk for High School.

Gov. Brad Little signed a bill into law that led Idaho to become the fourth state to end home equity theft since the Supreme Court ruled the practice unconstitutional in May.

Today, the Legislature delivered on a comprehensive property tax relief package that brings historic tax relief to the people of Idaho. House Bill 292 will provide between $205 million to $355 million in total tax relief in the first year. Over the next 3 years it could provide close to $1 billion in property tax relief.
This bill was a collaboration between the House and Senate, with tremendous work done by House Speaker Moyle (R-Star) and Rep. Jason Monks (R-Meridian). I am proud to be a co-sponsor.
