I’m truly honored to share that I have officially been elected to serve on the Meriden Board of Education.

First and foremost, I want to thank God, because without Him none of this would be possible. His guidance and strength carried me through every challenge and reminded me to keep faith through it all.

This moment means so much to me, not just as a community member but as a mom. Everything I do, I do for my children, Grace and Jorge. They are my greatest inspiration and the reason I chose to step forward and be a voice for families like ours.

I want to thank my incredible family for standing by me through every step of this journey. To my fiancé, I know this wasn’t easy, but thank you. I appreciate the days you took to fix signs with the kids and the days you took to drive us around while I door knocked. Your effort and willingness to jump in wherever needed never went unnoticed, and I truly appreciate it.

To my mom, thank you for coming all the way from Florida to help me close out this campaign. Having you here by my side meant a lot. You’ve always been someone I can count on, and your help and encouragement through these last few weeks made such a difference.

To my friends, neighbors, and every single person who walked with me, supported me, shared my posts, or simply offered a word of encouragement, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your faith in me carried me through long days and late nights, and this victory belongs to all of us.

As I step into this new chapter, my vision remains the same: to strengthen the connection between our schools and families, to ensure every child, no matter their background, learning ability, or circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive, and to advocate for open communication, safety, and equity in our classrooms.

Meriden, I am ready to get to work. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more inclusive community for our children and their future.

As Election Day arrives tomorrow, I want to take a moment to say thank you to my family, friends, neighbors, and every single person who has supported me throughout this campaign. Whether you helped spread the word, attended an event, volunteered your time, donated, or simply shared a kind word of encouragement, please know how deeply grateful I am.

This journey has meant so much to me. As a mom and a former educator, I decided to run for the Meriden Board of Education because I truly care about our children, our teachers, and the families who make up this community. My vision has always been rooted in creating stronger communication between schools and parents, ensuring that every child, no matter their background, learning ability, or circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive.

To my children, Grace and Jorge, everything I do is for you. You are the reason I work so hard and why I am so passionate about creating a better future for all kids in our community. I want you to grow up in a world where your voices are heard, your dreams are supported, and your schools are places that nurture your potential.

This mission is not just political to me; it is personal. I have spent years inside classrooms and now, as a parent in our district, I have seen firsthand the challenges and the beautiful potential that exist in our schools. I want to be a voice that listens, collaborates, and advocates for what is best for our students and families.

Thank you again to everyone who has stood beside me on this journey. No matter what happens tomorrow, I am proud of what we have built together and even prouder of the community we continue to strengthen.

I am truly honored to share that I have received the endorsement of the Connecticut Hispanic Democratic Caucus. This is incredibly special to me as a proud Latina and Puerto Rican woman who loves her community deeply.

This endorsement means so much because it shows that others see my vision and believe in the work I am doing to make a difference in Meriden. It reminds me that representation matters and that when we show up, speak up, and stand together, we create real change and open doors for others to follow.

I am so thankful to the Connecticut Hispanic Democratic Caucus for believing in me and for the work they do to empower and uplift Latino voices across our state. I am proud to stand with them in this effort to build a more inclusive and equitable future for everyone. 💙🇵🇷

I am truly honored to receive the endorsement of the AFT. This endorsement means so much because it represents a community of hardworking professionals who dedicate their lives to serving others. The AFT’s membership includes teachers, school-related personnel such as paraprofessionals, state employees, healthcare workers, and higher education faculty. Each of these members plays a vital role in keeping our schools, workplaces, and communities strong.

Their dedication and service reflect the very heart of my campaign and my vision for Meriden, a community where every child has access to quality education, every educator feels supported, and every public servant is valued for the difference they make. These members are not only essential to the success of our schools but also to the well-being of our entire city. Having their trust and support fills me with gratitude and strengthens my commitment to continue advocating for better resources, fair opportunities, and a stronger partnership between schools, families, and our community.
