Tom Russell is officially working his last shift here at Stewart's!
Tom has been a huge part of what we do here and he will be sincerely missed ! His legacy of kindness, compassion and a steady hand when you need it most will live on in the many providers who learned the ropes from him. Cheers to you Tom!

Please take a minute to read a tribute one of our providers wrote for Tom.

24 years ago today, 19 hijackers committed one of the most horrific acts of terror on the United States in history. This senseless act of terror resulted in the deaths of 2,977 civilians, 343 firefighters, 23 police officers, 84 Port Authority personnel, 8 paramedics, and 55 military personnel that day alone. In the years since, 340 first responders have died from cancer or respiratory illnesses from the toxic air they encountered on scene of the World Trade Center attacks.

Furthermore, 7,000 service men and women have been killed, and another 53,000 have been injured in the Global War on Terror.

Today, we honor and respect all those who have lost their lives that day and since. The inocent, those responders, and our brave service members did not die in vain. Their sacrifice, their bravery, and their service will never be forgotten.

Stewart's would like to thank Governor Ayotte for her leadership and support for EMS. With her signature today we now have a law that will eliminate balance billing, provide stabilization in reimbursement from private insures and aid in EMS readiness statewide. This bill required much compromise and persistence by many. NH is the first in New England to achieve this.

We would also like to thank Chris Stawaz, Senator Sue Prentiss, NHAA, New Hampshire Fire Chiefs Association & PFFNH for their tireless work and support.

As EMS Week 2025 wraps up, we want to send a HUGE thank you to the incredible communities, partner agencies, and facilities we proudly serve. Your support (and yes your delicious snacks!) truly made this week unforgettable! 💙

Swipe through to check out some highlights from our Seacoast Operation’s annual EMS Week Barbecue! 🍔🌭 A special moment: Operations Manager David LeDoux presented our team with an official EMS Week proclamation from the City of Somersworth, NH.

We also celebrated some of our amazing team members—shoutout to EMT Supervisor Heather Meader for being such a vital part of our operation, and congrats to EMT Lenny Kinyua, our Seacoast Employee of the Year! 🏆👏

Our supervisors surprised the team with beach bags full of summer goodies—sunscreen, shades, phone chargers, and custom Stewart’s beach towels—to help them kick back and relax after all their hard work. 🏖️

To our responders: THANK YOU for the incredible dedication you show every single day. And to their families thank you for sharing your loved ones with us. 💛

Happy EMS Week! 🚑💫
