MI Community Opposed to Elementary School Consolidation A place to come together, to learn, to stay engaged and to take action!

Today the School Board participated in a study session on the LRFP and consolidation. Superintendent Fred Rundle reviewed LRFP survey results; 75% of respondents support 4 smaller schools.

The Board then engaged in conversation about how to proceed. The generally consensus being that consolidation should be taken off the table at this point in time.

A first reading detailing next steps will be presented at their Board meeting on Thursday, October 26 followed by a likely vote on Thursday, November 9.

Look at the data, think critically and come to your own conclusions. Here is what we've come up with.

Please note that we will do our best to update this information as we learn more through meetings with administrators, board member and at official community events. This is the data that we have found most interesting and that has lead us to develop the questions posed in this deck. Sources are sited throughout as a means to share that we are NOT pushing misinformation. The goal is to stay informed and to try to synthesize the information presented in the six LRFP meetings.
