🌳🛝💚Another Green Scout Initiative at Rahilly Park in Merced- brought to you by Girl Scout Troop 3019

The Troop picked up trash, painted park benches and picnic tables and most importantly, tested the playground equipment!

JR. NBA/WNBA LEAGUE — REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

The City of Merced Parks & Community Services Department is getting ready for an exciting 10-week Jr. NBA/WNBA basketball season, and we want YOU to be part of it!

NOW OFFERING BOYS & GIRLS DIVISIONS!
Season: January–March
Cost: $100 Participant or $120 non-resident
(Merced MCSD K-6 Students free, Student ID # Required)
Income-Based Scholarships Available(proof of income required)
Weekday & Saturday Games

Each player receives: Reversible Jersey, Shorts & Basketball Certificate

Space is Limited!

WE'RE LOOKING FOR COACHES!

Coaches do more than teach basketball, they build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and futures!

Volunteer coaches are needed to help young athletes learn, grow, and have fun on the court.

Coach commitment:
Approximately 2–4 hours per week
Background check & screening required
Potential coach training opportunities
Coach orientation & skills assessment information coming soon

Great progress at General Vang Pao Park! Aletha June Playground is going to be one of a kind with Hmong cultural symbols found throughout. 🛝

Next phase, locally harvested climbing logs- repurposing trees that once stood tall in our local park system. 🌳

Green Scout Adopt A Park Initiative in action!

Scouts from Troop 88 adopted Bernasconi Park as their most recent Green Scout Initiative, painting picnic tables and picking up trash throughout the playground and Park.
