Attention Mentor Lagoons visitors!

Due to popular demand, the kayak rental office and concession stand are going to remain OPEN on the weekends through the month of September. Hours will be 10am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Last kayak launch will be 5pm.

The last day will be Sunday, 9/27/26.

The Mentor Lagoons are excited to announce the launch of a new online merchandise store! Below are some examples of the items available.

We have men's and women's t-shirts (short & long sleeve), Sport-tek long and short sleeve shirts w/ UV protection, crew neck sweatshirts, hoodies, and insulated travel mugs.

There are three different designs and a variety of colors to choose from.

The online store will be open until 10/5/26 and orders will ship the week of 10/26/26.

What's that rising above the trees at the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina?

Why yes, it's a 96 foot tall observation tower overlooking the Mentor Marsh.

The top beams were bolted into place earlier this week and now the stairs, railings, ramps and other associated parts will be attached.

Final completion of the tower is scheduled for late September or early October.

The main trail into the Nature Preserve has been reopened, but please proceed with caution when visiting because there will be equipment moving around near the construction site.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a beautiful night of music presented by ONE, a tribute to U2 at last Friday's Tunes at the Lagoons concert.

Please join us for our last concert of the year on Friday, 8/21, with local Cleveland band, Pieces of Eight, performing a variety of hit tunes.

Tunes at the Lagoons is a free event that is open to the public with food truck and beverage vendors on site.

Beginning Monday, August 17, 2026, the new hours for the kayak rentals and the concession stand at the Mentor Lagoons will be as follows:

3pm - 8pm, Monday - Friday (last launch at 7pm)
9am - 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday (last launch at 7pm)
The kayak rentals and concession stand will close for the season on Labor Day, 9/6/26.

As a reminder, please take a moment to visit our concession stand when visiting the Lagoons. We have a variety of candy, including freeze dried candy, ice cream treats, hot dogs, Uncrustables, and a variety of cold drinks.

UPDATE: Residents are advised that the main trail at the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve will be closed Friday, July 31, 2026, through Sunday, August 16, 2026, as crews assemble the new 95-foot observation tower which will overlook the Mentor Marsh.
