Friends of Mentor on the Lake Fire Department open 24 hrs a day This page started out long ago as a page dedicated to the Mentor on the Lake Fire Department and their various activities. I agree.

Two years after my retirement, the fire department started another FB page even though members had the ability to post to this page. Mayor Dave Eva has insisted that I remove or rename this page as it is misleading at this point. I am leaving it up and will post information dedicated to MOLFD and its alumni. I hope you will remain connected to this page and continue its support. The new "Official"

Today the Columbus Fire family is mourning the loss of one of our own. First responder su***de is real, and it can impact anyone and everyone. Please reach out and check on your fire family, they may need you.

From First Energy: all activities throughout this evening into tomorrow morning will be focused on securing downed wires and clearing roadways. There will be no power restoration activities tonight. They must take into consideration the safety of the line crews.

As we wake up this morning, and with heavy hearts, we have been informed that the Clermont County Sheriff's Office (Ohio), has lost one of their own in a shooting overnight. We do not know the name of the deputy yet as this is an ongoing investigation. The deputy was shot and killed during a SWAT standoff last night in Pierce Township and another deputy was injured. Our main priority as a law enforcement officer is to make it back home to our family at the end of every shift. We cannot fathom the pain and heartache that the family is suffering. We ask that you keep the deputy's family and fellow officers in your thoughts and prayers. As soon as we receive further information and are able to, we will update this post. Godspeed brother. We will take it from here.

The Willoughby Senior Center will be open as a warming center on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 am - 9:30 pm.
