The Neighbors of Dunn County is a new model of non-institutional nursing homes set on a beautiful campus at the southeast end of Menomonie, WI. Participating in the Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Wisconsin Family Care, and Hospice care programs, our new campus consists of a neighborhood of homes providing resident-centered, resident-directed, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for our communitie

Each of our homes has its own screened-in front porch, outdoor courtyards, living rooms, kitchens, dens, but also private bedrooms with your own private bathroom & shower and the latest amenities to meet your needs. Our therapists provide top-notch physical, occupational and speech therapy for all your rehabilitation needs; physicians make rounds daily (Mon.-Fri.) and we offer on-site audiology, dental, optometrist and podiatry services. Our campus also features two Memory Care homes with enhanced security features. Our goal, whether your stay is short-term or long-term is to help you attain your highest practical level of well-being in an environment that helps preserve your dignity, to be respected, restored, refreshed and enjoy life’s daily pleasures. Check out our catches of the day! 🎣🐟 Thank you to the Dunn County Conservation & Sports Clubs for another year of an amazing adapted fishing event. This day is one that our residents look forward to year in and year out. We are so appreciative of all the volunteers and staff that make it happen!!

As the weather gets warmer, we wanted to share some reminders to keep everyone safe and healthy!

Please let staff know about any residents that ask to go outside to ensure they have proper clothes, a call light, and/or staff assistance if needed. We are thankful to have such helpful folks around the buildings, and we also need the nurses to know where residents are.
☀️
NDC weather policy states that we are unable to go on activities outings when the real feel is over 90°F. Our Life Enhancement team will watch weather closely on outing days and update residents as soon as possible with any changes. Families & friends, please also be cognizant of the temperature when going outside or out on pass with your loved ones. Check out these three tips to help reduce heat related illness & sunburn:
☀️.....Use sunscreen when outside even if you are not in direct sun. The nursing staff have sunscreen for residents to use!
☀️.....Find shade & wear protective clothing while outside - hats, long sleeves, etc. - to keep cool and help protect your skin. The screened porches are a great shady resource for those that want to enjoy time outside!
☀️.....Stay hydrated! Drinking fluids helps prevent heat related illness. Please ask staff to help you and/or your loved one get something to drink while outside.

Father's Day Lunch: Starts at 12:00 pm in the household. Orders can be submitted using this link: https://forms.office.com/g/APhqPwPuFw 🍴 Meals will be $10.00 and consist of herb & garlic roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, creamy cucumber salad, dinner roll, & apple pie with ice cream. All orders MUST be in by Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

That's a wrap on National Skilled Nursing Care Week 2026! 🥳Residents and staff had fun with dress up days, outings, tie dying, family and friends chili feed, live music, and a bunco tournament! Thank you to all those that participated and to the staff and volunteers that helped to make the fun possible. We couldn't have had such a great time without your efforts! 😁

Residents across campus baked up a storm on Saturday with the Menomonie High School DECA crew 🍪 Students led the baking programs making different items like rice krispies, s'mores bars, brownies, puppy chow, and more! Taste testing desserts before lunch is always a good idea isn't it? 😋🧁
