BGC of the Greater Chippewa Valley - Menomonie Center

The Boys & Girls Club opened in Menomonie in October, 2014 and is currently open within River Heights Elementary School.

The new Club is scheduled to open in September of 2014, with programs being offered to all area youth, grades third through eighth, at the River Heights Elementary School. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley oversee the Mary Markquart Center in Eau Claire, as well as the Jackson County Center in Black River Falls, and most recently the Chippewa Falls Center. The Menomonie Center

will be the fourth organization under the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley’s umbrella. Currently, the organization is directly serving nearly 1,100 active Club members in the Chippewa Valley. It is the goal of the Boys & Girls Club to be open during the school year from 3pm – 7pm and during the summer from 7:30am – 6pm. The Club will also open on weekdays when school is closed, giving youth the opportunity to be in a safe, productive place instead of at an unsupervised location. Additionally, the Club will provide daily snack and dinner during the school year along with breakfast, lunch and snack during the summer months and on school breaks. Members will be able to participate in all of the programs, meals and special events for an annual membership fee of only $10 per person or $20 per family annually.

Children must be at least 7 years old
Must be finishing 1st grade

Congratulations to our contestants for this year’s Youth of the Year!

Each contestant showed courage, leadership, and confidence as they spoke about their experiences and the impact Club has had on their lives. Their stories inspired everyone in the room, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish in the future.

Last week, we had an incredible night celebrating Youth of the Year! Our Club kids shared powerful stories about how Club has impacted their lives, from making new friends to trying new things and building confidence along the way. 💙
