JOB DETAILS:
Job Developer/Case Manager
This position will be based in St Croix County and also serving Pierce and Pepin Counties. Frequent travel in the three counties will be required.
The person hired will be responsible for assessing, training, and supervising clients in diverse community employment settings. Collaborates with team members to develop and implement community work opportunities and individualized program plans. Facilitates the creation and promotion of employment and on-the-job training opportunities, including placement strategies for individuals facing employment barriers. Offers ongoing support and maintains documentation of each client's progress. Provides follow-up services to ensure successful placement and retention.
```Responsibilities:```
· Assesses, trains, and supervises clients in a variety of job skills within an integrated community setting.
· Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to safety and supported employment standards, both within the facility and in community environments.
· Monitors clients’ productivity, behavior, and quality of work performance.
· Facilitates and enhances natural support networks for clients.
· Supports clients with safety and personal needs throughout the program day, including arrival, departure, breaks, and mealtimes, in accordance with assigned tasks and schedules.
· Implements and demonstrate various training techniques and assists in the ex*****on of program plans.
· Collects and maintains data and documentation related to client services and program progress.
· Assesses clients’ vocational strengths, needs, and preferences to inform job development efforts.
· Identifies and supports the development of auxiliary services to prepare clients for employment.
· Develops and monitors individualized placement plans collaboratively with clients and team members.
· Provides job-seeking skills training, including resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
· Advocates for clients to access available resources and services that support their vocational goals.
· Conducts job analysis of potential employment opportunities within the community.
· Develop employment opportunities and work sites tailored to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment.
· Promotes on-the-job training programs with local employers and assists in contract development.
· Demonstrates the benefits and value of employing individuals with barriers to employment by identifying skills and abilities relevant to employer needs.
· Assists clients in establishing and maintaining support systems such as transportation, carpooling, uniforms, and work schedules.
· Build and maintain relationships with employers to support ongoing client progress and gather feedback on satisfaction.
· Educates and informs business, labor, and community stakeholders about training programs and available hiring incentives through various communication channels.
```Experience:```
- Experience working with individuals with barriers to employment such as developmental disabilities, mental health or chemical dependency issues.
- Knowledge of workforce development programs and training resources
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills
- Ability to mentor and support individuals in achieving their goals
- Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations is helpful
- Experience in recruiting and matching individuals with suitable job opportunities
- Associate Degree in social work, human services or related field is preferred, experience may be considered in lieu of education.
