Menominee, MI 49858 The Menominee Opera House resides in the heart of the Historic Waterfront District in Menominee, Michigan.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of local volunteers dedicated to preserving and restoring the historic Menominee Opera House in Menominee, MI, which was originally built in 1902. It was designed by Chicago architect George O. Garnsey. Originally built in 1902, funded by the sale of stock by prominent lumber barons, it was severely damaged by fire in the winter of 1950. ominee Opera House Committee, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was established in 2004. We are comprised of local volunteers. We are dedicated to raising funds and overseeing the restoration of the Menominee Opera House, which was at one time the pride of the city. Planned renovations will also modernize the facility in order to make it fully operational.
