This year, thousands of Vietnam Veterans will cross into the 65+ population—a demographic shift that carries both honor and urgency.
Far too often, aging Veterans fall into gaps between housing options, health care systems and social services. They are isolated, forgotten and alone. In high-cost regions like Silicon Valley, those gaps can widen quickly, where a single setback can lead to crisis and instability.
Chris Flaherty, CEO of Nation’s Finest, shares his perspective in the San José Spotlight on these challenges and highlights how Nation’s Finest supported aging and high-acuity Veterans through a pilot program in Santa Clara County. That support led to greater housing stability, improved quality of life, better health outcomes, and restored dignity.
