The next round of paving and road work is set to begin Monday 08/17 with the milling and paving of Hartford Avenue East. This is expected to take two days to complete. Traffic will be detoured down Bellingham St to Route 140.

After the completion of Hartford Ave East, we will move to Bellingham St to complete the second phase of the project which is putting a topcoat on the newly rejuvenated base surface. Bellingham St road work is expected to take one day, and the detour will be on Hartford Avenue East.

Please expect delays and avoid these areas if possible.

The Recycle Center will be closed Saturday July 4th. We hope everyone has a SAFE and HAPPY 4th of July weekend!

Mendon Highway took delivery of our new John Deere backhoe today. The backhoe is our primary piece of equipment for all of our road work projects. This new machine has additional features which will allow us to accomplish tasks more efficiently. The funding for this purchase was approved at STM in 2025. Thank you to the residents for your continued support!

The first phase of the Bellingham St Pavement Resurfacing Project is complete. In the coming weeks, we will be adding an additional layer of asphalt to the road and then striping it. Thank you for your patience and understanding over the past few days. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming projects.

Pavement Resurfacing is set to begin Monday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM and continue on Tuesday and Wednesday. Bellingham St will be closed to through traffic during this time. Detours will be in place and travelers will be asked to utilize Hartford Ave East and Rt 140 to get around the construction. Please expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible!

The Recycle Center will be closed on Saturday June 6th. The yard is filled with equipment and trucks that are staged ahead of the pavement resurfacing of Bellingham St that begins on Monday.

🚨🚧Update on Bellingham St. Resurfacing🚧🚨
Our Contractor ran into some issues in a neighboring community and will not be able to start in Mendon until Monday. Please plan accordingly as Bellingham St will be closed to through traffic Monday 06/08 thru Wednesday 06/10 between 7 AM & 5PM. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Paving season is upon us. Wednesday 06/03 through Saturday 06/06, Bellingham St will be closed to through traffic for pavement resurfacing. Residents and buses will be allowed to get through but please expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
