My client wanted strength but needed mobility. What did I do? Combined them both

Working on being explosive by strengthening the hamstrings, but as you can see my client's foot is flexed and he is working on slowing his movement down while the band wants to pull his leg slightly inward. We finished with explosive pushups from a dead stop position.

We know sugar is bad, m'kay, but, yet, the government in 2011 provided 29% of all subsidies toward corn production and 12% for wheat production! What does this mean? It means more sugar laden food while driving down food costs making it more accessible, but it comes with a deleterious effect.

The results of this becomes ⏫obesity, ⏫ cardiovascular disease, ⏫ Alzheimer's, ⏬ testosterone levels, etc.

My arms are saggy and I want to tone, but how?

A great place to start is by doing either pullups or lat pull downs using a machine. Both incorporate the arms, but do so in a functional manner. How? Because we were originally designed to crawl on all fours then, we advanced to climbing and finally, we were able to walk on two feet with the ability to still climb.

With pullups/pulldowns we are using our innate ability to 'climb" thereby, we are using our big fan shaped muscle, the latissimus dorsi!! Also, the arms are heavily involved. Though it may not seem like it, but the triceps play a role in lifting your body up!

At the end of the day, a great place to tone those "flabby " arms is by doing what we were born to do, CLIMB!

We spend a lot of energy doing things in front of us and why not? I mean, we do things in a forward motion. However, it's good to strengthen the posterior chain of the body to make up for imbalances accrued throughout the years or decades of our lives.

So, give your back(posterior deltoids, rotators, traps, spinal erectors, etc.) some TLC.

Back in 2019 I had a hip replacement on my right side and it was a life changer for me. My whole perspective on training took a 180Β°. Before it was about lifting as heavy as I could, but now it's all about movement efficiency. It's about developing a foundation by becoming more in-tune with my body.

Movement efficiency involves posture, balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, mobility, etc. It encompasses the mind, body, and heart which is reflective through our movements.

Personal training has given me a joyful experience and a way to "give back " I love developing exercises for all types of people no matter what their experience level is. Fitness/wellness is a lifelong journey and everyone has a starting point. It's just reminding yourself your biggest competitor is you.

I'd like to offer my personal training services to anyone in and around Chester township. Allow me to provide you direction, accountability, and an AWESOME training session!!

I am located at Chester Body Reboot 52 Main Street, next to Pren's Kitchen. The training session will be an hour long. Water and towels will be provided.
