The sloppy, wet, and cool conditions will continue overnight as more rain showers are expected. Locations that received heavy rainfall over the past few days, such as the Hill Country, will see increased risk of flooding tonight through tomorrow.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Kimble and Menard.
* WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 849 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain
due to rain. This will cause small stream flooding. Close to
2 inches of rain fell within the advisory area over the past
24 hours. That rainfall, coupled with the rainfall this
evening will likely lead to minor flooding of low water
crossings, underpasses, and other low-lying areas prone to
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Menard County Sheriff's Office Deputy Dorothy Aguirre arrested Joshua Barrow of Menard for Menard County Warrant Charging Motion to Proceed to Adjudicate Original Charge Possession of Ma*****na less than two ounces obtained by the 452nd District Probation Officer, Morgan Miller. Menard County Deputy Bree Moore deployed K-9 Jack for an open-air sniff on the vehicle Barrow was driving. K-9 Jack gave a positive alert on the vehicle. The Deputies located approximately 5 grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for Methamphetamine drugs, packaging material and digital scales. Barrow was charged with Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1-B greater than or equal to 4 grams less than 200 grams HSC 481.1123(d) First Degree Felony.

UPDATE: Highway 83 north to Eden has been cleared and is open to traffic.
Major Crash 5 miles north of Menard on highway 83, between Menard and Eden. Multiple injuries, Menard County Sheriff's Office, Concho County Sheriff's Office, DPS Troopers, MVFD, EMS from Menard and Eden responded and TXDOT. Shannon Air-Med and Marble Falls Aero-Care responded. One lane is open for traffic flow now. Sorry for the delay in posting.
Thank you to all the Emergency Personnel that responded and all the bystanders that helped the EMS with patient care.
