Message from the Public Works Director:
Effective January 20, 2022. Due to extreme cold weather and water temps dropping, the City of Menahga is asking its water/sewer residents to run their water, with a stream pencil size. Utility billings will be adjusted for all residents for these freeze runs.

A storm system will spread snow across the area from northwest to southeast this afternoon and evening. Snow will occur tonight and taper off Wednesday. North winds will increase this afternoon and tonight with gusts to around 40 mph over much of eastern North Dakota and the Red River valley. These winds will be enough to bring considerable blowing and drifting snow. Near blizzard conditions are possible...especially if winds end up higher than forecast. Stay tuned for additional updates.

Approximate snow start times...
Devils Lake area 1 pm to 3 pm
Grand Forks, Thief River Falls area 4-6 pm
Fargo, Detroit Lakes, Bemidji, Roseau, Wahpeton 5 to 8 pm

Menahga City Hall will be closed Friday, December 24, 2021 to observe Christmas. We will reopen Monday, December 27, 2021 at 8 am.

The School Board of Menahga Public Schools is conducting a search for a new superintendent. The School Board contracted with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assist the District with the search.
