On Friday, April 24, 18 Menahga HS Art League students traveled to Grand Marais, MN for a day of hands-on exploration. The group had a printmaking workshop at the Grand Marais Art Colony, followed by photography and hiking along the Lake Superior shoreline. (The workshop and trip was funded by Art League fundraising and donations.)

We are proud of all our brave Menahga artists! 17 of our students’ artworks were in the MSHSL sectional art show in New York Mills. We received many excellent ratings, and Violette Anderson & Taliea Honga received superior medals! Taliea received a Best in Category for the mixed media collage “Ice Cream Sundae” and will advance to the state art show at Wayzata High School on May 9th. Congratulations artists!

April 1-17th 220 artworks from 15 schools are in the MSHSL Section 6A art show at the New York Mills Cultural Center! This show culminates on April 17th when students gather and find out the results. Come see this work in person at the New York Mills Cultural Center, Tuesdays: 10 am – 5 pm, Wednesdays: 10 am – 7 pm, Thursdays: 10 am – 7 pm, Fridays: 10 am – 5 pm.
