Polk County Library

Polk County Library The Women's Literary Club of Mena established the Mena Public Library in 1904, and maintained it until 1965.

At that time the library building, books, and equipment were given to the newly established Polk County Library. Today we have branch libraries and services in Cove, Big Fork, Board Camp, Hatfield, Shady, and Grannis. The MPCL is dedicated to serving the communities of Polk County, Arkansas, with the best collection, equipment, and staff available.

International Literacy Day is for everyone worldwide. “Literacy is a fundamental human right for all. It opens the door to the enjoyment of other human rights, greater freedoms, and global citizenship,” proclaims UNESCO.

Polk County Library is here to help with resources for adults and children including beginner reader materials in our Learning Center collection.
