We are Team and Family

KIPP Memphis Collegiate High is an open-enrollment public charter school located in North Memphis. We are a part of the broader KIPP network, and here in Memphis we also have 2 elementary schools and 2 middle schools.

Our promise to students and families is simple: We commit to supporting you through high school and your post-secondary option. We currently support over 400 alumni across a range of colleges, universities, technical schools, and careers.

We do this by first having a really clear vision: KMCH seeks to be an academically excellent, freedom dreaming school that fosters a team and family to support students in achieving fulfilling lives.

We partner with families, students, and the community to breathe life into this vision and work together to give our students a safe space to learn, take risks, be themselves, and grow as learners and people. We also offer a wide range of additional programming, from an award-winning band to computer science to art to business courses.

In addition to the excellent work our KIPP Through College and Career team does in supporting our alumni beyond high school, we are also proud of some of our most recent accomplishments, including:

KMCH achieved a Level 5 Composite ACT TVAAS score in 2019.

KMCH had the 4th highest ACT growth in the city of Memphis in 2019.

Our Ready Graduate Rate far exceeds the district and state.

We have a 98.8% graduation rate, which exceeds both the district and the state.

KMCH has a Postsecondary Enrollment Rate that exceeds the district and the state. In other words, graduates from KMCH enroll in and matriculate to college at higher rates than their peers across Memphis and the state of Tennessee.

While we have much to celebrate, we are constantly working to grow and improve. This year, as are making a commitment to Antiracism and evaluating our programming, practices, and policies to ensure we are a school that is inclusive, celebrates Black and Brown joy, and respects and uplifts the range of identities on our staff and in our student body.

Additionally, we are leaning into our work with student GPAs. Overwhelmingly, data shows that a good GPA is not only predictive of high school graduation, but also post-secondary success. As we navigate changes in state testing and higher education, we believe our focus on grades and academic habits will not only position students for success in high school, but also beyond.
