College Application Night Tomorrow

Dear MSEC Senior Families,
In celebration of Day, all MSEC seniors will participate in College Application Night on Friday, September 18, from 1:27–3:05 PM.

Students will receive support with college applications, letters of recommendation, and mentorship. Seniors should bring a charged laptop and the information needed to complete their applications.

Snacks and game prizes will be provided! 🎓

Civic Engagement at MSEC!

Today, MSEC Senior students participated in a voter registration activity and learned more about the importance of civic participation and the voter registration process.

Learning Beyond the Classroom!

Our MSEC music teacher,Ms.Correa, took a group of students to AMRO Music for a special hands-on piano learning experience! Students received training, explored how pianos are designed and built, and had plenty of fun along the way.

A wonderful opportunity to learn, explore, and experience music in a new way! ❤️💙

Dear MSEC Cordova Families,

We're excited to celebrate College & Career Celebration Week from September 14–18! Each day has a fun theme to get our scholars excited about their future:

• Mon, 9/14 – Career Day: Dress up as your dream career

• Tue, 9/15 – School Spirit: Face paint a college mascot (prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd place!)

• Wed, 9/16 – College T-Shirt Wednesday: Wear a college tee or your favorite college colors with jeans

• Thu, 9/17 – HBCU Preppy: Crisp button-downs, pleated skirts, and tailored blazers

• Fri, 9/18 – : Create a t-shirt or wear college gear – hats, pins, shirts, etc.

Please note: all attire must be school appropriate, and dress code will be checked at entrance.

We can't wait to see our scholars' school spirit shine all week!
