Thank you to all our seniors, families, faculty, and staff who attended our Class of 2027 Senior Parent Information Night! The mission was a success!

Families received valuable information and a senior success checklist covering attendance, expectations, graduation requirements, scholarships, senior activities, the senior trip, prom, and more.

Special thanks to our Senior Class Chairperson Mr. LaSalle Cleaver and all Senior Sponsors for leading and supporting this important event. Congratulations to the parents who won gift cards and door prizes!

🎉🎡 SPIN THE WHEEL FRIDAY! 🎡🎉

This morning, our students started the day with excitement during Spin the Wheel Friday! Principal Steward provided incentives for students at every grade level, including gift bags filled with goodies and backpacks packed with school supplies. There were giveaways, giveaways, and more giveaways! 🎁🎒

The celebration continued during our first pep rally, where Principal Steward surprised even more students with prizes.

🎉 WEEK 1 IS IN THE BOOKS! 🎉

What a fantastic start to a brand-new school year at Douglass High School!

This morning, Principal Steward celebrated our students with a fun school-wide expectations challenge. Students enthusiastically answered questions based on what they learned during orientation, including arrival times, daily procedures, and other important school-wide expectations in hopes of selecting a special prize! 🎁

Our students showed up this week on time, excited, enthusiastic, and ready to learn. They enjoyed reconnecting with friends, meeting their teachers, entering their new classrooms, and learning what it means to follow The Douglass Way.

Frederick Douglass High School wrapped up an exciting, engaging, and impactful week of professional learning as we prepared to welcome our students back for their first day on Monday, August 3!

Throughout the week, our teachers, support staff, educational assistants, administrators, and entire school family collaborated, learned, planned, and participated in activities designed to prepare us for another successful school year.

A special shout-out to the incredible faculty and staff of Frederick Douglass High School! Your dedication, energy, teamwork, and commitment to our students were evident throughout the week.
