Alumni Picnic House Rules:
We want to make sure everyone is aware that Pine Hill Park is currently under renovation and will not be ready in time for our Alumni Picnic on May 23, 2026. But a meaningful alternative had been secured: 1880 Prospect, the place where your journey as a Scrapper first began.
Because this is a new location, we must follow the rules set for 1880 Prospect to ensure a smooth and successful event.
Event Details
• Picnic Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 23, 2026
• The Memphis Police Department will be patrolling the area for safety measures.
• Weapons are prohibited on the property except for police or hired security.
• Tent Setup: Tents may be erected only on May 23 during event hours. Anything outside this timeframe holds you liable.
• Space Assignment: The land is divided into sections and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
o Your space will be recorded by, Elatris Estell or Bernetta Partee (alumni committee).
Facilities & Responsibilities
• Each class is responsible for securing its own porta-potty, which will be delivered on Friday and picked up the following Monday.
• Dumpsters will be available on-site.
o All trash must be placed in plastic bags before going into the dumpster.
o Please help keep the property clean — Mr. Johnson wouldn’t have it any other way.
Parking & Transportation
• No parking on the property; street parking only.
• You may drive onto the property to drop off food or supplies, but vehicles must be moved immediately afterward.
We’re looking forward to a joyful, memorable day together. Your cooperation with the house rules helps ensure that everyone has a great experience. At 6:00 p.m., we will need to wrap up activities on the property, so please don’t be surprised if you’re asked to continue the fun elsewhere.
We can’t wait to see each of you for this special occasion.
Thank you to all who took part in making this Picnic happen.
