Earlier this summer, I had the privilege of attending Bull Day in Frazier Park. Watching everyone come together and enjoy the free live music and festivities was a lot of fun, and learning about its history was meaningful. Attending that event made me think about the history of other events Covington hosts, like the world’s oldest BBQ festival, Heritage Day, and how to make sure Covington does its part to host these days for many years to come.
Our city and its history are important to me, and I look forward to continuing these celebrations and making sure others know the history behind them. That’s yet another reason I want to serve as your mayor for the city.

Our first Meet and Greet is over, and I’ve enjoyed another week of talking with people, learning what matters as Covington grows and changes. Public safety has been and will continue to be at the top of the list. Chief Donna Turner has been instrumental in developing a clear vision for the success of the Police Department, and soon Covington will be selecting a new Fire Chief. Backing our fire and police departments is the foundation of a safer, stronger future for Covington and I look forward to doing that as your next Covington mayor.

Congressman Kustoff stopped by Mueller Brass yesterday and brought updates from Washington. The price of gas, inflation, and the cost of living are all topics of interest across the nation and affect Covington, too, especially because incomes are not going up to match the increase in costs.

Congressman Kustoff serves on the Ways and Means Committee, which means Covington is directly represented on topics like taxes, trade, healthcare, and social security. I was glad to meet with him at Mueller Brass and hear about the great things he’s doing for us.

Covington needs a mayor that shows up - and pairs actions with words. Promises are empty without the actions that go along with it.
I promised the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of the Hatchie River Region (Covington) that I’d come back and see them, and I was glad to welcome them back to the Club and share lunch. Thanks to ’s for some delicious chicken tenders - always a hit!

We had a great day at our impromptu pop up meet and greet - gave away free coffee and biscuits to start the school year right!
Working with small business owners is pivotal in this economy, and Red White and Brew coffee truck did a great job. As mayor, one of the most important priorities is to check in with constituents that own small businesses - how can the city help support our small town charm that makes Covington special? What are the biggest struggles? What if helping our small businesses win helps us all win? Because it does!
