Today kicks off a month of celebrating the history, resilience, and beautiful diversity of our LGBTQ+ community here in Shelby County and across the country.

True progress means building a county where every single person feels safe, valued, and respected for exactly who they are. When I talk about building One Shelby, it means leaving no one behind, ensuring that our neighborhoods, our economy, and our policies reflect equity and dignity for all.

Let's use this month to celebrate how far we've come, recognize the work still ahead, and uplift our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and neighbors. Have a safe, vibrant, and joyful Pride Month!

It’s been a busy weekend on the campaign trail. From neighborhood gatherings to community milestones, our team has been hitting the pavement hard across Shelby County.

True progress isn't made behind a desk, it’s made on the ground, listening to the people. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us, shared their stories, and committed to building a brighter future.

We are moving forward with momentum, but the job isn't finished. Let’s keep pushing, keep organizing, and do this together!

This city has been built on resilience, culture, faith, music, hard work, and the strength of its people. May we continue moving forward together building safer neighborhoods, stronger communities, and greater opportunities for the next generation.

We are the foundation. We are the future. And the best of Memphis and Shelby County is still ahead of us.

Growth, connection, and real community impact.

It was an absolute honor to join Dr. Michael C. Ellis, Lady Angie Ellis, and the entire Impact Ministries family for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of their beautiful new pavilion and community garden in North Haven.

Spaces like this are the heartbeat of Shelby County. By providing a home for farmers markets, community activities, and health and wellness initiatives, Impact Ministries is doing the vital work of bringing neighbors together and growing stronger, together.

When we invest in community-led solutions, we build a healthier, more vibrant future for the next generation. Thank you for having me out to celebrate this wonderful milestone.

Congratulations to the Westwood High School Class of 2026 and ALL graduates across Shelby County! What an absolute honor it was to serve as the Commencement Speaker for Westwood High School. Looking out at these brilliant graduates, I know the next 40 years of our county are in good hands. Your hard work has paid off, now go out and shape the future.

A special thank you to Principal Dr. Trenton M. Watson, the faculty, and the families for allowing me to share in this monumental milestone.

Seeing the news that one of our own, Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke, has passed.

I am heartbroken to hear, as I’m sure fans are across Memphis and Tennessee. My prayers go out to Brandon’s friends and family.

What a night, and what a victory.

Winning the Democratic Primary is a huge first step, but like I told the crowd on election night in Soulsville, the job is not finished. I’m not running for the next four years, I’m running for the next 40. I’m running because I believe Shelby County is destined for greatness. We have one more election to go to ensure every child has universal pre-K, every neighborhood is safe, and every voice in this county is finally valued.
