The speaker for the May Shelby County Lunch Hour Republican Club meeting will be Tennessee State Senate Majority Leader Senator Mark Norris. Thursday, May 18th, 11:45 am - 1:00 pm at Owen Brennan's Restaurant (6150 Poplar Ave. #150, Memphis, TN 38119). $20 all inclusive lunch. Please RSVP to [email protected].
Senator Norris was first elected to the Tennessee State Senate in 2000, representing District 32 (Dyer, Lauderdale, Tipton, and part of Shelby County). He was elected the State Senate Majority Leader in 2007 and has been instrumental in growing the Republican majority from 17 out of 33 members in 2007 to 28 out of 33 members today. He has championed tax cuts, tort reform, budget discipline, and pro-life legislation, among many other common-sense, conservative issues. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the American Conservative Union’s Award for Conservative Excellence in 2016. Come hear more about the recent legislative session and his vision of our state, followed by Q&A.

REPUBLICAN PARTY OF SHELBY COUNTY PRECINCT CAUCUS

The Republican Party of Shelby County will hold its Precinct Caucuses for each ward and precinct in Shelby County on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 6:00 PM. ALL precincts in every house district should meet at Houston High School - 9755 Wolf River Blvd, Germantown, TN 38139.

Before arriving for the Precinct Caucuses, make sure that you know your state representative district number and your precinct number so that you can be directed to the proper caucus. This information can be found on a current voter registration card or online at www.Shelbyvote.com.

You MUST bring a photo ID with your current address. The caucuses will elect delegates for the county convention to be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Houston High School - 9755 Wolf River Blvd, Germantown, TN 38139.

The purpose of the county convention is the biennial reorganization of the county party. Any contests as to the results of any Precinct Caucuses on March 2 must be filed with Thomas Parker, Chairman, of the Contest and Credentials Committee, 1779 Kirby Parkway #1-63, Memphis, TN 38138 no later than Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 4:00 PM.
