Pictures during the annual fundraising event for Kid’s Harbor, where I served as a volunteer and Campaign Coordinator.

Kids’ Harbor works to provide a coordinated response, healing, and prevention of child abuse—and their work is a powerful reminder that strong communities don’t happen by accident. They happen when people, organizations, businesses, and community leaders come together around the needs of their neighbors.

Experiences like this strengthened my belief in the power of community partnerships, service, and bringing people together around a cause that matters.

Those are the same values I’m bringing with me to Clifton.

A look back at the day I was sworn in as a Realtor (2013-2023)🏡

Becoming a Realtor was more than learning the business of real estate. It meant committing myself to a professional Code of Ethics and understanding the responsibility that comes with representing people in some of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

My experience in real estate strengthened my knowledge of property, contracts, negotiation, market considerations, and the importance of doing business with honesty, professionalism, and integrity.

That commitment to ethics has followed me throughout my career.

Whether I’m working with a business, serving a community, or representing the people of Clifton, I believe trust has to be earned—and integrity has to be demonstrated.

These experiences are part of the knowledge and perspective I’m bringing with me as I seek to serve Clifton.

A look back at my time serving the St. Robert community in Missouri (2014-2016). 🇺🇸

This photo was taken with State Representative Steve Lynch at a community meeting in St. Robert, where I had the opportunity to be part of conversations about the needs, concerns, and future of the community.

Experiences like these taught me that effective leadership starts with showing up, listening, and being willing to work alongside others to find solutions.

Those lessons have stayed with me—and they’re part of what I’m bringing with me to Clifton.

Long before I decided to run for Clifton City Commissioner, I was already showing up, serving, leading, and learning alongside communities.

As my own campaign season comes to a close, I’m proud to turn my support toward someone I know personally, deeply, and wholeheartedly—my daughter, Johnniecia Cooke.

Johnniecia is not a career politician. She is a problem solver, a leader, a mother, a businesswoman, and someone who has consistently shown that when something needs to be organized, improved, or built, she is willing to do the work.

I have watched her serve others, lead through challenges, bring people together, and continue moving forward even when the road has not been easy. I believe Clifton would be fortunate to have that same dedication, integrity, and determination working on behalf of its residents.

Congratulations to the newly elected Shelby County Clerk, LaSonya Hall!!

I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes as you step into this important role of service to the citizens of Shelby County.

I am incredibly grateful to every voter, volunteer, supporter, friend, and family member who believed in our campaign and stood with us throughout this journey. Your encouragement, your time, and your votes meant more than words can express.

Although the election has ended, our shared commitment to a stronger Shelby County continues. I wish the incoming Clerk much success in serving our community with integrity, accountability, and care.
