This bunny has been at 2528 Elm St., Dallas all day today. Finder does not have a vehicle. Is anyone available to pick up this baby and get it delivered to me (in Melissa). Even better if a rehabber closer would take.

🎉UPDATE - BUNNY HAS BEEN CONTAINED AND DELIVERED TO GAIL. Thank you to Steve Chang , NTTA and The Colony Animal Control for helping get this bunny contained and in safe hands!❤️

He has been found but unable to contain safely as he runs away along the concrete barrier. He has road rash but no broken bones. We have called the tollway authority and somebody is supposed to go out there. Just hope it doesn't take too long.

🚨Just received this text from someone on the way to the airport to catch a flight. They were unable to stop. Is there anyone in the area that could check and try to contain this bunny? It can be taken to satellite location Gail Hollis in the Colony, if contained. 469-223-6290.

Jackrabbits can run up to 45mph and need space to stretch their legs and build muscles as they grow.

So this morning I set up the large enclosure upstairs for Dolly. If needed, I will be able to enlarge it as she grows. I have a few more additions to make!

Dolly seemed to appreciate the space because she did her first little zoomies and binkies! I managed to get a short clip on video!

She loves her sandbox and it's adorable to watch her dig and roll in the sand! Unfortunately, I haven't been quick enough to catch that on video - yet!

If anyone has fresh Mesquite tree branches with leaves, Jack Rabbits apparently love them! If you have some and are able to drop them off, Dolly and I would appreciate it!

Because FB is irritating, it won't allow me to post pics and videos at the same time, so videos are in the comments!

"Dolly" the baby jack rabbit has settled in beautifully. ❤️
Her eye seems to have completely healed, she is drinking what seems like gallons of goat milk. She munches on hay and grass.
This video was taken last night when she was having free run time on the large rug. She is always listening with her giant radars🥰

He is doing fantastic! 🎉

Swelling has gone down, he is lapping formula like a champ, and he's enjoying his new friends and their grooming talents. 😍 (Baby in center of 3 drinking)

🎉 Y'all ... we got another unicorn last night!!! 🦄

This time it's a leveret - a baby Black-Tailed Jackrabbit!!!

This beautiful angel was found in the most unlikely - and unsafe area. Near a very high traffic intersection, with very little "natural" space or cover. She also had a crusty left eye, so was clearly injured/compromised.

She is settling in fabulously and I can't stop looking at her. 😂 Seriously, her eyes look into the depths of your soul.

➡️A little tidbit about Jack Rabbits - they are not rabbits, they are Hares! Jack Rabbits are precocial. Unlike Cottontails, Jack rabbit babies are born fully furred, eyes open and ready to move around soon after they are born (cottontails are naked, blind and helpless when they are born).

The baby bunny was found in the middle of their arena and unfortunately was likely stepped on. Baby has a skull fracture and significant swelling. 😢
Baby has been decompressing in an incubator with fluids and meds on board, and swelling is already starting to go down.
Send good vibes, thoughts and prayers for this little one to make a full recovery! ❤️🤞🙏
Once stable, he will join a group of friends his age. 🐇

We released 9 bunnies this week, including an adult with a front leg/shoulder injury, a juvenile that had been stuck on a glue trap, another juvenile that had been severely wounded by a cat, and several other babies that were brought in for various other reasons - mostly cat and dog related.
Now the next wave of neonates is here!
