The City of Melissa has been made aware of fraudulent emails being sent to residents and businesses regarding permits, inspections, or permit-related payments.

These emails may appear legitimate and could include official-looking language, logos, invoices, or references to local government processes. The sender is not affiliated with the City of Melissa.

Please remember:
• Legitimate permit invoices from the City of Melissa will direct you to our permitting portal for payment or provide instructions for paying by card, cash, or check.
• The City of Melissa will never request payment through wire transfer, gift cards, or unsolicited ACH transactions.
• Do not click links, open attachments, or submit payment information if you are unsure of an email's legitimacy.
• Always verify permit-related communications directly with City staff.
