Today, we celebrate the power of service, leadership, and community.

Whether it’s supporting local schools, championing literacy, addressing food insecurity, partnering with community organizations, or helping meet everyday needs, the Junior League of the Space Coast continues to find and foster good throughout the Space Coast while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. 💙

Find the Good Day is a reminder to recognize the positive impact happening all around us — from small acts of kindness to larger community initiatives that create lasting change.

And tonight, we’re celebrating together!

💙✨ JLSC is proud to support the EGHS Commodore Closet!

The Junior League of the Space Coast is honored to be a proud sponsor of the Eau Gallie High School Commodore Closet mobile donation trailer and to provide monthly support to the EGHS Commodore Closet throughout our League year.

The Commodore Closet is an incredible resource for EGHS students, providing access to clothing, hygiene items, school essentials, food pantry support, and other basic needs. Students are able to access the closet at school with dignity and without barriers — no questions asked. This resource benefits hundreds of students and helps ensure they have what they need to feel supported, prepared, and cared for.

A very special thank you to Kristen Butcher and her team for all they have done and continue to do for the EGHS community. Their heart for students and commitment to meeting real needs is inspiring, and JLSC is grateful to partner in this important work.

Our President, Katie Ourand, and Fund Development Director, Ellen Rockwell, were happy to represent the League yesterday at the ribbon cutting and celebrate this next step for the Commodore Closet.

The mobile donation trailer is currently parked at Eau Gallie High School, and donations may also be dropped off at Sideline Kava, where JLSC has a donation box available.

Items currently needed include:

Backpacks, teen-appropriate clothing, shoes, new undergarments, deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair care products, feminine hygiene products, blankets, scrubs, golf clubs, nonperishable pantry items, and gently used electronics such as laptops, tablets, iPads, and smartphones.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this project. Together, we can help keep the Commodore Closet stocked and ready to serve students all year long. 💙

💻✨ Happy National Online Learning Day!

One of the best parts of the Junior League experience is that learning does not stop after you join — and it does not always have to happen in person.

Through the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), members have access to online trainings, virtual learning opportunities, and leadership development resources that help women grow their skills, build confidence, and bring new ideas back to their local League and community.

Training topics can include things like nonprofit leadership, fundraising, governance, membership engagement, community impact, communications, advocacy, and more. Whether you are interested in serving on a committee, stepping into leadership, or simply learning something new, there are opportunities to grow at every stage of your Junior League journey.

At the Junior League of the Space Coast, we believe leadership is built through service, learning, and connection — and we would love to welcome women who are ready to grow with us. 💙

✨ Tomorrow night at JLSC! ✨

Our September General Membership Meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15 at 6:00 PM at JLSC HQ, and we’re excited to welcome Jenn Knuelle from Space Coast Habitat for Humanity as our guest speaker!

One of our goals this year is to create meaningful community partnerships that give our members opportunities to serve where they’re needed most. Tomorrow night, our members will get to do exactly that — learning more about Habitat for Humanity, discussing community needs, and exploring a potential JLSC community project and partnership in real time. 💙

We’ll also continue collecting donations for the Eau Gallie High School Commodore Closet, our year-long community partner. Current needs include:

👟 Teen-appropriate shoes
🧴 Body wash, deodorant & hygiene products
💇 Hair care products, including products for textured hair
👕 New or gently used men’s & women’s scrubs
💻 Gently used tablets, laptops & smartphones
⛳ Golf clubs for students participating on the EGHS golf team

Donations can be brought to JLSC HQ tomorrow evening or to future JLSC events.

60 years of service, and we’re still moving forward — building partnerships, developing women leaders, and finding new ways to make an impact across the Space Coast.
