Notice of Public Meeting for the Position Ballot Draw.

The Izard County Board of Election Commissioners will hold a public meeting on Friday August 23rd, 2024 at the Izard County Courthouse at 2:00pm. The primary purpose of this meeting is to have the ballot position draw for the 2024 General Election.

The public is welcomed to attend and if there are any questions you can direct them to the Commisssion.

Here’s voting info for the general election:

September 6, 2024
Application opens for absentee ballots on November 5, 2024.

October 7, 2024
The last day to register to vote is November 5, 2024, in the general elections.

October 21, 2024
Early voting begins for Nov. 5, 2024, general elections.

Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday from Oct. 21 through Nov. 3. Polls close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 4, the last day of early voting.

November 4, 2024
The last day to register to vote is December 3, 2024, for the general runoff elections.

November 5, 2024
General election voting concludes

December 3, 2024
General runoff election.
Arkansas county and municipal races where no one wins more than 50% will go to a runoff, along with state and township elections ending in a tie.

Ballot Draw
The Izard County Board of Election Commissioners will hold a public meeting on December 7th, 2023 at the lard County Courthouse at 2:00pm. The main purpose of this meeting is to have the ballot position draw for the 2024 Preferential Primary Election of March 5th.

The public is welcomed to attend and if there are any questions, you can direct them to the Commission.

We are one week out from the filing period for nonpartisan prosecutors and judicial candidates to file petitions for ballot access in the Nonpartisan Election without paying a filing fee. [Ark. Code § 7-10-103(c)(1)(A)(i)]

Petition filing will be held in the State Capitol Elections Library located on the Lower Level from 12:00 pm, September 14th – 12:00 pm, September 21st.
