The National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Melbourne, FL forecasts for 10 counties in East Central Florida: Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Saint Lucie, Seminole, and Volusia. The office can only comment on weather and related issues in these counties. NWS will be using Facebook as a supplemental channel to disseminate environmental information and promote weather awareness activities including outreach and educational efforts.

Jun 20 | Scattered showers and storms may start a little earlier today, developing inland and increasing in coverage as they shift eastward toward the coast and offshore through the afternoon. Some stronger storms will be possible, producing localized flooding. Max temps drop a tad today, but it will still be hot and humid, with highs in the low 90s and peak heat indices reaching 102-107.

Jun 19 | There is a Marginal (level 1 of 5) Risk for thunderstorms to become severe between 3PM-11PM across all ECFL. Before that and where storms don't develop, hot and muggy again. Another Heat Advisory has been issued for the area from 11AM-7PM. A moderate risk of rip currents continues at the beaches.

Heat backs off a little this weekend as we shave a degree or two from highs each day, but widespread Moderate and pockets of Major HeatRisk impacts will continue. High rain and storm chances Saturday, then chances gradually back off Sunday going into next work work. Heat starts to tick back up Monday.

A warm night is forecast with lows generally in the mid to upper 70s with skies expected to become partly cloudy. There is a Moderate Risk of rip currents at the east central Florida beaches.
