The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering up to a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in a fire that is considered to be ARSON in Crystal Lakes (Beach Dr). This fund is not paid for by tax payer dollars.
Any tips can be sent online at the link below or you can call Fire Marshal Hawkins at 937-604-5205. A firefighter was injured, so this is being considered as Aggravated Arson.

This morning at approximately 0603 hours, crews were dispatched to a working garbage truck fire on I-70 WB at the 42 MM. Upon arrival, vehicle was fully involved. Driver was able to safely exit the vehicle with no injuries. Crews made a quick and effective attack on fire and were able to extinguish the fire. Roadway was shut down to 1 lane for this incident to maintain safety for our crews and occupants involved and opened back up after vehicle was clear of roadway. Our effort would not have been successful without our Mutual Aid partners. Thank you to Mad River Twp FD, Springfield Twp FD, and Wright Patterson AFB FD for your assistance.
