NOTICE OF POST ELECTION AUDIT

NOTICE is hereby given that Billings County will be conducting a Post Election Audit at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15th in the Billings County Courthouse, Commission Room located 495 4th St, Medora, ND, 58645. The purpose will be to conduct the 2026 Primary Election Post Election Audit as prescribed by North Dakota Century Code.

If you plan on voting in the Primary Election, you have 50 minutes to get to either the Fairfield Fire Hall or the Billings County Courthouse! If you still have an absentee ballot, you may turn it in by 7pm to either the drop boxes at each location or to the County Auditor's office in Medora. Make your vote count!

Primary Election Day polling locations are open and getting voters through the doors. Thank your friends and neighbors who comprise the Official Election Boards. We are very grateful for them all!
Both Fairfield Fire Hall and the Billings County Courthouse will be open for polling until 7pm. The results of the election and those across the State of North Dakota will be able to be viewed by going to this link. As a note, on election night, any write-in results will only show as "scattered" and those will be adjudicated in the days following the election. Official results of the Primary Election will be made after Canvass Board on June 22, 2026.

Tomorrow is the June 9 Primary Election! If you plan to vote in-person at the polls, this checklist can help you make sure you complete all the necessary steps to cast your ballot. Start by visiting https://vote.nd.gov/myvotinginfo to find your sample ballot and polling location information.

Don’t forget your ballot on your counter! If it’s not received in the mail by Tuesday, it will not be counted! There is a drop box at the Fairfield fire hall and the Billings County courthouse or you can still come in person on Tuesday at either location between 9am and 7pm to make your vote count. Don’t forget your ID

Absentee ballots must be received by your county auditor by close of polls on Primary Election day, June 9th. If you aren't sure it will arrive by mail, you can hand deliver it to your county auditor or place it in a secure county drop box. If you mailed your ballot, you can go to vote.nd.gov/absenteetracker to see if it was received. If it wasn't received or if you changed your mind about voting absentee, you can cast a ballot at your polling location.
