💙 A Forever Family for Eddie! 💙

After nearly four years in foster care, Eddie was officially adopted by his forever family! 🎉

Eddie remained with the same foster family throughout his time in care, giving him the stability and sense of permanence that helped him grow and thrive. During those four years, he made great strides in school and continues to enjoy fishing, baseball, and riding bikes with friends.

Eddie was so excited for his adoption day - and celebrated by doing what he loves: fishing with friends! 🎣

We couldn’t be happier for Eddie and his forever family. ❤️

September is National Kinship Care Month! 💛 We want to say a huge thank you to all the aunts, uncles, grandparents, and family friends who have stepped up to raise children in Ohio. You provide stability, safety, and endless love when kids need it most. You are true heroes in our communities!

We know it feels a little too much like a beach day to be talking about Christmas… but holiday planning is officially underway! 🎄

Last year, we provided gifts for more than 100 children and youth in foster care in Medina County. We couldn’t do it without the support of our incredible community! 💙

Want to help make the holidays brighter this year? Here are three ways to Be the Village:

1. Holiday Toy & Gift Donations 🎁
Gather your group, organization, business, or church and collect new, quality toys, gifts, or gift cards. We will not be holding a community Toy Drive this year, so we’re counting on our community partners!

It’s true that many children in foster care have come from hard places and need some support to heal. Don’t worry! We’ll provide you with the training you need to understand a child’s needs; and we have dedicated staff to support you along the way. If you have a heart for kids and a little patience, you can be a successful foster parent! 💙

Our big kids need clothes, too! ❤️

We’ve received some questions about the youth and adult clothing sizes on our Amazon List—and we’re so glad you asked!

More than half of the children in our foster care program are age 12 and older, which means many of them are wearing larger youth and adult sizes. While the little kid and baby clothes are adorable (and many have already been purchased!), our older kids need clothing when they enter foster care, too.

Imagine arriving at a new home with just the clothes on your back. A new hoodie, pair of jeans, pajamas, or basic toiletries can help a child feel a little more comfortable and cared for.
